Celebrating the arrival of a new season, I was recently invited to the launch of Dissh's new autumn collection! I had the privilege to attend the lunch at the beautiful Fig & Frankie in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. Brand events are always a great opportunity to have a sneak peak at the latest trends, and the perfect chance to chit chat with other talented creatives in the same industry. Nothing is more heart warming than being invited by a brand that I personally adore to celebrate along side them and their team! Being able to use my platform to share ‘what’s new’ and get a first glimpse of something before it hits the store front really excites me!
The autumn range is full of beautiful patterns both neutral and bright! Most of the garments being 100% linen, which if you know me you know my love of linen is quite excessive. I find the fabric so breathable and really suitable for the Gold Coast lifestyle and climate.
The long lunch was held at Fig & Frankie bar and dining in the heart of the Gold Coast, and with a 10/10 rating they get the tick of approval from me! Spoiled with a range of cocktail choice's and my personal guilty pleasure, a cheese board, you could say I was quite content. The fried halloumi cubes with truffle honey was just absolutely mouthwatering…I’m hungry just thinking about it! You will without a doubt find me at Fig & Frankie during happy hour from now on!
I consider events an important part of my job, showing up and networking with other creatives and talking one on one with the amazing people behind the brand. I really try to make this a priority when I get the chance to. Nothing is better than having a genuine relationship with the company themselves... I strive to only work with and share brands with my audience who I truly love and use myself. So not only speaking highly of the product I may be advertising but of the people who work behind the scenes is extremely important to me. I find in my industry if you’re loyal to the brands you love and represent, they will always look after you. I’ve been shopping at Dissh since I was about 14, and never did I think I would be sitting next to the owner enjoying a glass of wine. No matter how many events I go to, to this day it’s still "a pinch me moment"!
This intimate lunch launching the arrivals of a new season, as Dissh was truly one of my favourite events thus far! Be sure to check out the collection at www.Dissh.com.au ! I was seen sporting the ‘Effie Tan Floral Mini Dress’ as you will see below, and if you haven’t already be sure to check out the gorgeous Fig & Frankie, I can’t recommend it enough!
